Orrnamentation creator, Vivian Orr, has the privilege of working at the Saskatchewan Craft Council as the Communications & Publications Coordinator. She finds herself constantly inspired by Saskatchewan's talented Fine Craft artists and their exceptional work. Vivian is a SCC Juried Artist in Clay.

Vivian Orr received her BFA in Graphic Design from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. She has worked in advertising agencies, design studios and newspapers in Montreal, Edmonton and Saskatoon.

She has always had a love affair with the hand made. Unfortunately she discovered early on that it was best to leave quilting to her incredibly talented Mother - and as much as Vivian adores wood - she is allergic to saw dust.

Undaunted Vivian has explored the artistic use of  heat and flames: fused glass, blown glass, flame worked glass beads and blacksmithing - with a few jewellery making  sessions thrown in for good measure. (Vivian describes jewellery making as "mini-blacksmithing with bling at the end!")

Continuing her theme of heat and flames, Vivian's most recent artistic adventures centre around using 3-D printing technology to prototype her contemporary candle designs.

All of this creative exploration feeds her soul.
